Our client is a Middle East based multidisciplinary architectural and engineering consulting firm. They are consistently ranked as one of the top international design firms, as a result of employing talented professionals who provide consulting services in Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Transportation, Environmental, and Process Engineering. Our client requires a talented Senior Architect, with 15 years experience, who will be responsible for working on multi-disciplinary design projects, including commercial, residential, tall tower and mixed-use developments. A Degree in Architecture is required from a recognized educational institution. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in architectural design, the creation of production drawings, the ability to conduct design reviews and overall design management.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing documents in various phases for design intent, materials use and Master Plan intent.

• Preparation of information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, colour, equipment, estimated costs, or construction time.
• Preparing scale drawings.
•  Analyzing building and zoning codes and applying these to reviewed designs.
• Consulting with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements of structures.
• Directing the activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents.
• Administering design contracts.
• Preparing and conducting design review workshops, including detailed design review reports and structured evaluation commentary.
• Conducting on-site observations and compliance checks on previously reviewed design work.
• Utilizing a variety of relevant engineering applications.

The successful candidate will fully understand architectural and urban quality, demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, possess above average problem solving capability, be highly organized and show a talent for technical report writing.
